Mombasa White Sands Beach.

Mombasa,on a lazy Sunday afternoon at the beach. Time seems to stretch on for ages in Kenya, like no other country I've been to. There's a Congolese saying I think; 'God gave the Europeans the clock, but he gave Africans time..'

I had a long conversation with my mother today. We were discussing the situation in Mombasa and Kenya at large. She was telling me how people are leaving for Tanzania and Uganda and then proceeded to say that she would stay in Mombasa and that she could wield a Machete as well as the next person! So if anyone asks me to describe my mother it will certainly be as follows:
A machete and mwiko(wooden spoon in swahili) wielding warrior queen,master websurfer,improvising goddess and someone who doesnt leave the sinking ship but who also manages to live to fight another day...(!!!)
